My name is Marissa Anderson-Botello, and I am a Therapist here at The Evolution Group. I believe therapy is a labor of love and collaboration where honoring agency, self-determination and safety is foundational.

​I am a bi-cultural woman who was born in Fresno, CA and grew up in the Bay Area. Before deciding to go back to school to complete a Master’s degree at The University of New Mexico, I worked for a decade in my community doing advocacy, crisis intervention, and transformative justice centered care for survivors of Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Trafficking. My family, community, friends, and education have taught me that connection, liberation, and a strong relationship with the earth are important tools to navigate and heal the lived and generational traumas we carry.

In session, I utilize a person centered and anti-oppression approach to help you navigate your own truths. I love working with folks of all cultures, genders, sexualities and ages! I also enjoy working with couples and families. I know that seeking therapy is deeply self-reflective, vulnerable and courageous!
