Josie grew up in Washington State and has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington State University. Josie moved to Albuquerque in 2020 to acquire her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of New Mexico and began working with The Evolution Group as part of her internship experience.

Josie practices from a humanistic, person-centered approach, acknowledging that her clients are the expert of their lives, while allowing them to guide each session. Through her work, Josie emphasizes the importance of a mind-body connection and maintains unconditional positive regard with each client. Josie believes that clients have within themselves the strength to overcome barriers, and providing genuine support facilitates in bringing forth this courage.

In her free time, Josie enjoys reading, taking her black lab on walks and hikes, listening to podcasts, and spending time with friends and family.
