Evolution Holiday Poem

Let’s lift a glass of cheer to think of good times through the year,
As side by side we worked to make a healing place here.
We’ve all been asked to stretch and change, to sharpen our skills and manage so
Our clients find a calm safe place where they are free to heal and grow.

Let’s lift a glass to those who are gone, for these we miss full well,
For they were part of our struggles and fun, who helped us write the tales we tell.
Let’s lift a glass, too, to the new bright stars who have brought to us their talents,
Their training, perspectives, and experience which they share with trenchant comments.

And most of all let’s lift a glass to our clients who bring us their pain,
Each with potential for healing and grace, who show us all how much they gain
When our open minds and respectful hearts unite in greeting each new face.
We help them shift, we help them let go, we help them grow in this healing space.

And here’s a toast to these beautiful rooms, with wooden floors and windows tall,
That encourage us each to work our best , and feel at ease in helping all.
Beauty, serenity, midst’ the turmoil each day
Help  soothe us all, and keep stressors at bay.

Now lift your glass high as we offer  a cheer to Daniel! For leading us year after year
With vision and patience and endurance, too.
