Daniel Blackwood began working in the field in 1984 and obtained his Bachelor\u2019s degree in Psychology and his Master\u2019s in Counseling from the University of New Mexico in 1988. After ten years of practice Daniel founded the Evolution Group, Inc. in 1988, where he serves with a team of talented clinicians and administrative staff.<\/p>\n

Daniel specializes in trauma recovery, and works with individuals, couples and partners who want to recover from intimacy issues, from gambling problems, as well as recovery from other mental illnesses and addictions.<\/p>\n

Author of “Integrity Recovery”, and Co-Author of “Minding the Body, Embodying the Mind: Mindfulness-Based Somatic Emotional Processing (MBSEP)”, Daniel teaches, supervises, and loves the work of therapy and the results that it can bring to the clients he serves.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the warm and respectful bond that exists between us, my clients have an opportunity to heal from trauma and come to have clarity about how they feel. They begin to make new choices for themselves. They feel better, have more flow in their lives, and learn to choose and act with more mindful intention. My clients learn that they are deep, mysterious, and wonderfully unique. I find that down deep my clients, my colleagues, and people in general, are whole and the point of therapy is to empower the wholeness that lies within them. My mission is to light the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
