The recent Responsible Gaming Awareness Run held at Albuquerque’s Manzano Mesa Community Center has been called a great success by organizers and those who attended.
The event, sponsored by Sandia Resort and Casino’s Responsible Gaming Program and The Evolution Group Inc.’s Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center and Integrity Recovery House, was held on Thursday, July 4th.
The run attracted 750 runners from central New Mexico. Booths provided information to the attendees from non-profit organizations including health, safety and educational efforts. Games, raffles, prizes, clowns and a waterpark were also part of the festivities.
The Compulsive Gambling Treatment Center offers a comprehensive treatment center for compulsive gamblers and their families. Those who would benefit from a recovery-house living model find help at Integrity Recovery House, integrating treatment within a live-in recovery model. Both are divisions of The Evolution Group Inc., serving the counseling needs of New Mexicans since 1998.
